What’s blogging got to do with business? So much! I have put together a small list of how the two are related.
1) Informing your costumers. Many, perhaps even most of your costumers have internet access – be it at home, work, a public library, school, a friend’s house, ect. So for you, the internet should be an important and valuable tool. Many consumers hear about a product or service from someone they know. Their next step is usually to search up your product or service online. This is their primary choice to find out more because it is easy for them to do. Use a blog to let them know A. The name of your product, B. What your product is, C. How much it costs, D. Where they can get it, E. Why it is better than the competition, F. How to reach you. These are all very important for a business’s blog to have.
2) Selling to your costumers. Don’t have an actual store? Is your product not in stores yet? Don’t despair! Make an account on eBay, then link to your products on your blog. Make your blog as informative and eye-catching as possible. These are two tried and true ways to get people to buy from your blog. Or, if you’d rather, use CafePress or something like it and link to it. Be creative and DO YOUR HOMEWORK, see what other people are selling online for! Don’t over price!
3) Learn about your costumers. You’d be amazed at how much you can learn from your costumers. Have many topics that you write about. See what people like. Use this new data for your products or services. See what your readers search for. See what they click. This could provide you with a constant stream of information. That being said, try to keep your blog around your original target audience (teens, kids, boys, girls ect.).
So our question for you this week is: should business hire someone to make an actual website for them or should they use a WordPress blog?
Thank you

They should hire someone! That way they’ll get the best results…and people will get paid for their hard work.
